Froggy Cam Live Stream
This is my froggy cam. This is a live video stream of my frog aquarium at my house in Texas with about a 2 second delay. This was a small project using a raspberry pi micro computer. The idea was to take an old webcam, a small aquarium, and my favorite little aquatic lifeforms and combine them all into one project. I have a temperature sensor that checks the temperature, and then post to a picture and image to my twitter account with daily frog images and tank stats.
African Dwarf Frogs need sleep and low-light just like humans. The cam will sometimes be offline for daily rest and relaxation. Occasionally it will also be offline as I implement new features. From time to time storms will also kill my internet connection and the cam will be offline as well.

Tyson is named after Neil deGrasse Tyson, famed astronomer and director of the Hayden Planetarium. He is an all around astrophysics badass. Unfortunately, my frog is nothing like him. Tyson (a female) is the larger frog and is generally interested in watching the surrounding area and lots of swimming.
Carl is the newest addition to the tank. Carl is named for Carl Sagan, renowned Astrophysicist and mentor to many including Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
